PicPick is an all-in-one program that provides full-featured screen capture tool, intuitive image editor, color picker, color palette, pixel ruler, protractor, crosshair and even whiteboard.
In early days, the creator allowed prgram files downloading in zip file. Currently, (3.0.3) at the time of writing, the web site only has installation file.
I did the following steps to run it portable
- Download PicPick installation file
- Open installation file with 7zip
- Extract all files to a Folder except
saveappdata.ini
file and - Extract all folders to the Folder in step 2 except the ones whose name starting with $
This is what saveappdata.ini
says
If you are running PicPick on Windows Vista or 7, PicPick configurations are saved in
“C:\Users\[User name]\AppData\Roaming\picpick\picpick.ini”.However, if you want to make PicPick a portable-software, simply delete the “saveappdata.ini” file!
Then all settings are saved in PicPick folder.(If Windows UAC is turned on, please check PicPick is running in “C:\Programs Files\” without “saveappdata.ini”.)
